Looking for fun, music and maybe some green beer to wash it down with this week for St. Patrick’s Day? Here’s a look at some fun to be had around Montgomery and Prattville:


St. Patrick’s Sweater: Greg Thornton, Esther Hart and Michael Thornton will perform during the St. Patrick’s Day themed guitar pull Tuesday, 7 pm at Cloverdale Playhouse’s outside courtyard, 960 Cloverdale Road. It also features special guests Emily Lowder Wootten and John McWilliams. They will celebrate the gift of Irish words and music, with a mix of the traditional and original. Dublin on Dexter: Lower Dexter Avenue in downtown Montgomery is the place to be for the city’s official St. Patrick’s Day celebration from 4-10 pm on Thursday. This is a free, family-friendly event. Dublin on Dexter features a kid zone from 4:30-6:30 pm Opening ceremonies begin at 7 pm with Irish inspired entertainment. At 8 pm, music begins from Montgomery Soul Collective.
