The scene, which takes places shortly after Batman’s first meeting with Farrell’s Penguin and Kravitz’s Selina Kyle/Catwoman, is an early tease for a reveal which then arrives in the final act. It is later discovered that Riddler had been residing in a hotel building with a perfect view of the entrance of the Iceberg Lounge. Since The Batman‘s initial release, many have praised Dano’s take on Riddler, with the actor having put a darker, more terrifying spin on the character.
