Simple macaroni salad packs plenty of flavor

I’ve never been to Hawaii, but the 50th state is definitely on my bucket list.

Part of the fun of travel is trying new and interesting foods. I always feel a little bummed out when I hear about people who travel the world and look for McDonald’s almost immediately.

Don’t get it twisted, I love a delicious and familiar bite of a cheeseburger, but that shouldn’t be the first thing sought out when landing.

In a country as big and vast as the US, there seem to be specialties found in every state.

Groceries for a Hawaiian-inspired meal are still cheaper than a plane ticket and accommodations to the western-most state, so for Easter I served a dinner that would make the even biggest curmudgeon say, “Aloha!”
