Pet company will pay you £5,000 to eat nothing but dog food for a whole week

Plant-based dog food company OMNI is looking for someone to taste their product and in return you’ll get £5000 but you’ll need to be comfortable recording every little detail

The company will pay £5,000 in return for you recording every detail of the experience

Have you ever served up your dog’s dinner and wondered what it tasted like? Wonder no more.

A plant-based dog food company is looking for someone to live solely off their product for five days to prove just how tasty the food is and they’re offering £5,000 to whoever wants to step up to the challenge.

OMNI is hoping to prove just how delicious and nutritious their vegan food is.

The selected candidate will need to track their experience and report back on a number of things including how they felt and most importantly, how it tastes.

OMNI says they use only the best ingredients and in order to put that to the test they’ll want you to record some more personal details including your mood and bowel movements.

Whilst the prospect of eating dog food might not the most appealing of meals, the ingredients aren’t any different from what most people eat every day.

The product is filled with sweet sweet potatoes, lentils, brown rice, pumpkin, blueberries, peas and cranberries so even if you’re not plant-based it’s not like you’re being served up tripe.

Shiv Sivakumar, co-founder of OMNI, said, “OMNI is clean label, meaning that it doesn’t have any mysterious ingredients. While all dog food has to use human-grade ingredients by law, many brands use cheap animal by-products and unwanted leftovers that humans would definitely not want to eat themselves given the choice.

“We firmly believe that OMNI is good enough for even humans to eat, and more importantly enjoy, that we’re going to put our money where our mouth is.

“We decided to recruit a human taste tester to prove just how tasty and healthy plant-based dog food can be. Me and the other founder of OMNI would even eat our products – and we’re sure many other dog food brand producers wouldn’t.

“So, if you are looking to try out a new diet change and earn a little extra on the side, please sign up!”

If the prospect of £5,000 and sitting down for a meal with your dog is something that sounds appealing then you’ll need to be quick as their hunt for a taste tester is well underway.

Job applications close on May 31 and those hoping to apply can do so by clicking here.

You’ll only get your money once the trial is up, so you really do have to eat the food for just shy of a week before you can cash in.

You’ll also need to disclose your allergies to ensure you’re a suitable candidate to eat the dog food, as well as physical attributes, such as weight, skin, and hair condition.

The only conditions are that you must be from the UK and be over the age of 18 to take part.
