New UDF super-premium ice cream hits shelves

United Dairy Farmers has joined the world of super-premium ice cream with its new brand, Main Avenue Creamery. The pints are now available in eight flavors at UDF stores for $4.99 each and $3.99 for a two-dip cone. They’re also available in select grocery stores, including Kroger.

“Super-premium” refers to the ice cream’s high density and fat content, CEO and third-generation leader Brad Lindner said. Ice creams that are marked “super-premium” also use high-quality ingredients.

Main Avenue Creamery, which is named for the Norwood road where UDF first opened its doors in 1940, is the company’s first new brand in 40 years. The Norwood-based company ranked 15th on the 2021 version of Deloitte Cincinnati USA 100 list of the region’s largest privately held companies, with 2020 revenues of more than $828 million.
