BrewDog to host epic charity dog show with Gables Dogs and Cats Home

Plymouth’s BrewDog restaurant is set to host an epic fundraiser for Gables Dogs and Cats Home – and your beloved pets are invited. The restaurant is always dog friendly – but next week the focus will really be on your furry friends.

The popular Barcode burger and beer venue has teamed up with the animal charity to bring you the ultimate charity dog show, with your pets offered the chance to win the crown. They could even walk away with a pint.

Customers are invited to bring their four-legged friends from 12pm to 10pm on Tuesday, March 22. The event will consist of a dog show competition and there will be six winners in total. There will also be a raffle and lots of dog treats to keep your pets occupied.

The first twelve dogs to arrive at Brewdog will receive a can of Punk IPA. It is one can per pooch and of course you can sample Brewdog’s products for humans here if you can’t make it for the freebie.

Entry is £4 per dog. This includes a ticket to the dog show competition, entry to the raffle for even more chances to win more prizes and ‘more dog treats than you could shake a stick at’.

All the money raised will go to Gables Dogs and Cats Home. It will be a fun chance for you and your four-legged friends to meet others and talk to dog-lovers.

Brewdog, a no nonsense craft beer bar with a mouth-watering menu, situated on Plymouth Road will be opening its doors to customers and their four-legged friends from midday next week

Duty Manager of Plymouth’s Brewdog, Gin said: “The team and I are looking forward to holding our first ever charity event! If this day gains enough attention, we will consider holding more events in the future, in order to help the local community.

“Our ‘Dog Pawtys’ have become so popular since we first opened our doors. We knew that a charity dog show could be a great way to help the dogs and cats at Gables.

“The winners will be announced later in the week by social media, so there is no need to hang around. You can just swing by and say hello, or grab yourself a drink and a bite to eat!

“All we ask is that you donate £4 in cash, and allow us to make a little bit of fuss over your furry friend. All proceeds from the event will go to Gables Dogs & Cats Home.”

She added: “Our doors are open from midday until midnight. We are all super excited to meet you and your canine friends!”
